Human Imprint is a U.S. drum and bass label founded in New York City in 2002 by Damian Higgins, the DJ known as Dieselboy. It started under System Recordings and became independent in July 2009, issuing music in styles including techstep, hardstep and darkstep. Its releases included Dieselboy’s Project Human in 2002 and Bad Company UK’s Shot Down on Safari in 2003. The 2006 compilation The HUMAN Resource reached No. 14 on Billboard’s electronic album chart.
Higgins and Steve “Smash” Gordon relaunched Human Imprint in 2010, opening that phase with SPKTRM’s Planet Human EP, released on June 14. In September that year, Higgins launched SubHuman for dubstep and electro music. Higgins and Gordon then established Planet Human in February 2012 as an umbrella for Human Imprint and SubHuman. Other releases include BT’s Human Technology EP and Krusha and Zardonic’s 2012 single Need Your Loving EP. Dieselboy, Zombie Cats and Zardonic have released music on the label. In 2026, Nemean and Zombie Cats released Angel Dust (Zombie Cats, Nemean Remix).
