Ish Chat Music is the Brighton label that the drum and bass duo SpectraSoul, Jack Stevens and David Kennett, set up in 2016. It gave them a home for their more varied work and let them release more often in formats shorter than albums, mostly their own music, with room for other artists. The name comes from “Ish Chat”, a track on their debut album Delay No More.
SpectraSoul’s four-track Only You EP opened the label on March 25, 2016. In 2017 it released the duo’s 13-track album How We Live, with guest spots from Solah, Break and LSB, and Silence - EP followed in 2018. The music ranges from dancefloor tracks to more experimental drum and bass.
