Life Recordings was founded in 2009 by Sigma members Cam Edwards and Joe Lenzie as an outlet for their own music. Based in the United Kingdom, the label has focused mainly on drum and bass while also issuing music across other dance genres. Its early releases included Sigma’s “El Presidente VIP” and “Front to Back”; the former, alongside “Nexus”, appeared as a single in 2009. The label’s releases have also featured Break and Bladerunner, as well as DJ Limited’s debut single. After a six-year hiatus, Cam and Joe relaunched the label as BeatsBassLife, with plans to develop emerging artists and release drum and bass alongside other dance music.
