Based in the West Midlands of the UK, Odyssey Recordings issues drum and bass across jungle, atmospheric, liquid, darker and jazz-influenced sounds. Its 2011 debut was “Odyssey,” a Narkotix track written and produced by Sid Odyssey Nar, featuring Charlene McKenzie; the release also contained a rework by Rhythm Tek. Humanature’s “Northern Lights” appeared on the label in 2013, followed in 2015 by “Queen of This Town,” credited to Dilemma and Charlene McKenzie. Dilemma, Parhelia and Humanature have all released music through Odyssey Recordings.
The Odyssey Collective Series gathers solo tracks from artists signed to the label, combining their distinct approaches on each release. Its fourth edition arrived on March 30, 2015, as an EP with ten tracks made by collective members.
