Based in Salzburg, Austria, P LAB Recordings has operated since 2015 as an independent drum and bass label. Its sound spans deep-rolling, tech-driven drum and bass and jungle, and KAMA runs the label. KAMA is the name used by Salzburg-based founder Markus Kanzler, who has also released music through DSCI4 Records. Dunk and M-zine are among the artists whose work the label has put out.
In 2020, the label issued M-zine’s single Crepitate and its first compilation, Lockdown LP, which included contributions from M-zine and other artists. Dunk’s Swamp Monster EP followed in 2021. Other releases include Nuke’s The Truth EP, numbered PLAB013 and released in July 2023, along with EPs by Atmospherix. In December 2022, a Salzburg event with Total Science and local residents marked the label’s seventh anniversary.
