Renraku, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is a drum and bass label whose releases also span halftime, neurofunk and dubstep. Kaya and friends began the project around 2015, after finding a shared sound among producers on SoundCloud, and its founders included members of the online communities Dogs on Acid and Neurohop Forum. Renraku Global Media was formed in 2016 as a label for experimental music, at first focusing on artists with little or no established following. Rolar, Defiants and Viskus are part of the roster.
Renraku issued Billain’s album Nomad's Revenge in 2019 and Lands Unbreached in 2022. Its compilations include INFOHAZARD, released in 2022, and ANNEALED, released in 2024, and the Communication Themes compilation series runs to ten volumes. Kelbin’s single Extra Wave appeared on the label in 2026, and HØST has also released music there. Renraku’s releases bring together niche and familiar electronic sounds and have appeared on electronic music charts and playlists.
