Stepping Forward Records began in 2009 as a FORCE Recordings sub-label focused on drum and bass. Its remit also includes experimentation with new styles. The label has released music by Dan Guidance, MSDOS and Vector Burn. Releases include Parametric and Kodama’s EP Scriptures, as well as Vector Burn’s “Golden Teacher / Prayer Wheel.” The album Step One was released on February 11, 2013.
MSDOS’s single “Philosophies” came out through the label in 2017, followed in 2018 by Dan Guidance’s “Evolutionary Vision / Sustain.” The second full-length compilation, Step Two, was released as STEP045. It collects liquid drum and bass tracks by artists from around the world, including Dan Guidance, Flaco, Drum Force 1, Rafau Etamski and ARTL.
