Trendkill Records is a London-based drum and bass label established in 2011 by DJ and producer Prolix, also known as Chris McCarthy. It releases drum and bass music, with a roster of artists from around the world, and hosts live events and showcases internationally. Prolix created the label to work freely with artists who share his interest in production. Its releases bring together emerging and established performers. Artists who have released music on the label include The Clamps and Figure.
The label launched on April 4, 2011, with “Freeze Frame” by Prolix and “Con Artist” by Gridlok and Skitty. Prolix’s first solo EP for Trendkill, “First Contact,” featured three original tracks and a remix. Later releases included DLR & Prolix’s “Originate / Stale Habits,” released in 2020, and Prolix’s “Ready,” released in 2021. Prolix and Gridlok made the crowd-funded album Project Trendkill, while the label released the Transcendent EP, featuring collaborations with several artists.
