Westbay Music is a London-based drum and bass label that releases music in the genre and holds recurring events in London and other locations. Its artist roster includes Submorphics and Sydney Bryce, both of whom have released on the label. Submorphics’s Post Modern Soul EP appeared in 2010, while Dazed, by Atlantic Connection and Sydney Bryce, was released in 2022. Atlantic Connection’s releases for Westbay Music also include The Himalayas EP.
Westbay Music began in 2006 and marked five years in 2011. Its imprints then comprised Westbay Recordings, Westbay International and Westbay Digital; the first two were retired that year. Westbay Recordings had announced Westbay International as an offshoot by 2007, when it was run by Atlantic Connection and Jeryl Wilton. Westbay Recordings’ first numbered release, issued that year as Westbay 001, was Atlantic Connection’s “Leaving Home / What’chu Know feat. Deviant.” In 2011, Westbay Music issued the retrospective compilation Looking Back 2 Look Forward, with selections from its labels and new remixes, including tracks by Atlantic Connection, Submorphics and Random Movement.
