We want to rememberthe “golden era”of the rise of Russian drum and bass, when this music really “took off” with the masses, reaching such levels as being presented through separate large dancefloors at festivals such asKaZantip. It was at the 17th KaZantip that a turning point occurred, when the newly emerging label
KOS.MOS.MUSICorganised around 10 parties featuring varied drum and bass and jungle, bringing prominent international guests of the time such asLTJ Bukem & MC Conrad, Nookie, Big Bud, Deeizm MC, MC Five Alive andP.B.K.
This mix was released in spring 2009 on compact disc as the official soundtrack to the
STEPPIN'SESSIONparties held as part of the“KaZatinp Z17”.
