Kos.Mos.Music began in 2006, founded by Roman Paramonov and Andrey Burtaev, known as Electrosoul System. The independent label is based in Moscow, Russia, and releases drum and bass. Its early music drew on breakbeat and intelligent, atmospheric and liquid drum and bass, while exploring techmospheric and psychedelic styles. Between 2007 and 2010, it released vinyl records, including samplers spread over two or three discs.
Artists with releases on the label include Dissident, Abstract Elements, Nuage and Electrosoul System. Abstract Elements and Electrosoul System made the 2011 single V/A Deep Structures EP Part 1. The Supernova series gives newer artists a route to release music through Kos.Mos.Music. Its output also covers jungle, neurofunk, techstep, trap and dubstep, and the label hosts events and parties. In 2011, it started making earlier releases available digitally and issuing new music in digital-only form.
