Jungle pioneer Congo Natty is taking The Rebel On The Road to Hootananny Brixton this Friday, November 6.
The night runs from 9:30pm until 3am. Congo Natty headlines with Blackout JA, and the lineup also lists Deemas Jay with Clifford Junior, OS:MAN, and DJ Nis b2b Clodagh.
The venue’s announcement recalls that Congo Natty was known to generations of ravers as Rebel MC and helped shape UK jungle by fusing reggae, dub and ragga vocals with breakbeats, from his early releases to Jungle Revolution. It promises “rolling jungle rhythms, deep basslines and reggae spirit” and signs off: “Brixton junglists — this one’s for you.”
Tickets are on sale through DICE, with the venue listing prices of £7 and £15. The event is 18+.
