The Bristol veteran first aired the track as an unreleased dub on BBC Radio 6 Music in March.
DJ Die has released Once Upon A Time on his own Gutterfunk label (GF062). The single comes as a 4:25 radio edit, and Drum&BassArena, which premiered it, calls it a “nostalgia-infused gem”.
Die played the track, then unreleased, in his Sweatbox mix for SHERELLE’s BBC Radio 6 Music show, broadcast on 1 March 2026.
It follows his other Gutterfunk singles this year: The Specialist Funk, Slingshot, New Way and Rock Steady.
