Simula and Javeon go smooth and rolling on Critical’s ‘Smokescreen’

Simula is back on Critical Music with a vocal single featuring Javeon.

Smokescreen (CRIT276) came out on 23 October with the original and an instrumental version. Critical says Simula, known for his love of the dark and macabre, puts his “typically brutal sonic style aside for a smooth, rolling slice of vocal drum & bass”.

The track is built on ultra-low subs and a classic two-step break, with Javeon’s vocal carrying the groove and what the label calls “house-of-horror organ touches” keeping Simula’s signature in the mix.
