Hospital30 and Critical Sound bring eight acts to Nottingham

Fred V and Simula lead a December link-up tying Hospital Records’ 30th year to Critical’s underground drum and bass crew.

Fred V and Simula lead an eight-act Hospital30 x Critical Sound link-up at Nottingham’s Stealth on Friday 4 December. The Square One show puts two heavyweight drum and bass names under one roof for a night built around Hospital Records’ 30th anniversary.

There’s range across the bill: Fred V brings the Hospital connection, while Simula anchors the Critical Sound side. Hoax, Jakes, PVC and SMG join them, with Spectral and [IVY] completing the eight. It’s a tidy way to make the anniversary feel like a proper scene link-up, not just a birthday cake with a DJ booth attached.

Hospital Records has spent three decades in the fabric of drum and bass, and this Nottingham date pairs that milestone with Critical Sound’s underground focus. For local heads, the draw is the contrast across the lineup—and the chance to catch both camps on the same bill.

Put 4 December in the diary and come ready for a full-tilt run of D&B at Stealth.
