Soul Deep’s latest release features two excellent tracks from Dramatic and a collaboration between mSdoS and Malaky. Dramatic continues to delight us with his signature approach to writing tracks, combining beautiful melodicism, liquid breaks and powerful basslines. You will hear all of this in his new roller, “Diamond In The Rough”, which also features some pleasant vocal touches. But that is not all: on the flip side, you will find a joint track by Malaky & Msdos, written in the finest tradition of the Goodlookin’ label’s sound, which perfectly combines electronics, broken rhythms and funky energy. In an era dominated by conveyor-belt liquid and deep drum and bass tunes with generic sound, no development in the track and identical loops, releases like these are genuinely a pleasure.
