Shapeshifter
Producer
Good news for fans of the work of New Zealand collective Shapeshifter. At the end of May—specifically, on the 31st—we expect their fifth studio album, which will be released on Truetone Recordings, be titled Delta, and carry the catalog number TONELP
008. As always, the album was created with the participation of PDigsss (vocals), Devin Abrams (sax/keys/synths), Sam Trevethick (guitar/synths/sampler), Nick Robinson (bass/synths/MPC), and Darren Mathiassen (drums). Their fellow countrymen from The Upbeats also helped with the album’s creation and mixing.
There is still no exact tracklist; only a few titles of the new works are known—Monarch, Diamond Trade, and Gravity. However, over the next month the guys promised to drop previews on their SoundCloud page. We will be following closely and will let you know as soon as there is news.
Although this news is somewhat belated, on the 22nd they released the single Gravity to build some interest in their new album. An excellent tune in the spirit of their earlier work, it can be purchased both on the artists’ Bandcamp and in the iTunes Store.
