Break Thru

Break Thru is a Birmingham promoter of drum and bass and jungle events, active in the city since at least 2011. Its Birmingham venues have included the Rainbow Cellar, Lab11, Alfie Birds and the Hare & Hounds, and it has also held events at Joshua Brooks in Manchester and Oslo Hackney in London. Some nights have been associated with Soulution, Metalheadz, Valve and Exit Records. Artists booked have included DJ Die, Lenzman and DRS, alongside other drum and bass performers.

A three-part series marked Break Thru’s tenth anniversary in 2016, with DJ Marky and SP:MC appearing at an event at Alfie Birds in the Custard Factory. The promoter held celebrations for its 16th birthday in 2022. In 2025, it presented a Birmingham event marking 31 years of 31 Recordings, with Doc Scott among the performers.
