Released at the end of 2003 on the label by Marcus Intalex is a benchmark for mixes of soulful drum and bass, so good that it belongs in the French Bureau of Weights and Measures. It brings together practically everything released over the previous year in the series of the same name. I did not have the opportunity to listen to all of it, so it was twice as interesting. It all begins with soulful minimalism—very warm, atmospheric and not boring at all—Diam by compatriots who have been getting together more and more often latelyCalibre & Zero Tolerance, then comes the masterclass by Nu:Tone, followed by M.I.S.T. vs Dj Marky & XRS. As the mix progresses, more and more significant tracks for the label, old and new, emerge. It is hard to believe that all of this was released on one label within just one year. A very invigorating mix.
