UNDERCITY

UNDERCITY is located in Seoul’s Seongdong-gu, between Seongsu and Konkuk University stations, at Basement, 61 Seongsui-ro 22-gil. Its open floor accommodates about 300 people and includes a main stage, a bar, table sections and backstage space. The interior combines brutalist design and stainless steel surfaces with minimal lighting. A d&b audiotechnik system and acoustic panels serve the venue, and an in-house technical team adjusts the sound setup for each event.

Electronic music programming spans house and techno through to drum & bass, with events also covering other electronic styles. The venue’s CORE series is centred on raw, hypnotic techno, with textured drums, repeating grooves and deep bass. International headliners and touring artists perform alongside emerging artists from Korea’s underground scene. Artists who have played there include Hedex, Pure 100%, BAAWLA and Coziest.
