In Thatcham, near Reading, Brandon Searl began producing as BSEARL, and he is now based in Reading. His work spans drum and bass and other dance-music styles, with releases primarily through Cardiff label PullUp Recordings. The 2021 Mortal EP was PullUp’s first paid, full-streaming release. He has described his approach as making music without focusing too narrowly on drum and bass, putting the overall feel of each tune first. “Mortal” and “Waiting” were among his early tracks, and both appeared on the 2021 release Mortal. His collaborations also include Gee Rose.
In 2022, BSEARL worked with Kippo on the five-track Echo The EP, released through PullUp. The release moves across halftime, soulful drum and bass, and futuristic funk. His single “Believe Me” features CA$PAR, while “Better Now” is a track made with Krasia. PullUp Recordings has also released BSEARL’s “GO,” “SOLD MY SOUL,” and “NO MORE PAIN.” Visages remixed “SOLD MY SOUL.”
BSEARL also released the album NO MORE PAIN X+3>. Dom Whiting opened a Berlin bike ride with BSEARL’s track “Radio”. His 2026 releases include Way You Move with Nerve through PullUp Recordings and Isekai, and Over My Head with RAHH on Maraki Records. SOLD MY SOUL (Visages Remix) appeared through PullUp Recordings, while Places, featuring En:vy, was also released through PullUp Recordings. Love Shy, featuring Charlie Shell and Kristine Blond, was released on Armada Music.
