From West Yorkshire, Data 3 are a drum-and-bass trio whose members include Harry Bryson and Mark Dinimal. Bryson is one half of Pola & Bryson, while Dinimal is a fabric resident. Dan Hartley, also known as Mark Dinimal, and Alex Kostyakov complete the trio alongside Bryson. The group’s sound brings together forceful basslines, techno-inspired arpeggios and melodic progressions. Data 3 have released EPs and singles on Subtitles Music, as well as music on Flexout Audio, Addictive Behaviour, Soulvent Records and Shogun Audio.
Flexout Audio has been one of the trio’s homes for releases, including the Molecular EP. Data 3 also released the album Solar Space through Soulvent Records; its track titles include “Funk Bear”. Their work has appeared on the Drum and Bass Arena 2018 compilation.
An EP on Flexout began a three-part series intended to culminate in Matter. In 2021, Data 3 released the album Matter on Flexout Audio. That year, they also released the single “Tric City (Waeys Remix)” on Flexout Audio with Waeys. In 2023, Data 3 released Limmy / A Whole Thang on Symmetry Recordings with Ed:it.
