Born in Switzerland, Flowrian was drawn to electronic music and jazz from an early age. He met producer Simstah at a drum-and-bass night in Zurich. In 2011, Flowrian and LaMeduza released the single Into The Storm (2010 RMX) / Purifying The Evil on Digital Blus. Flowrian worked with Simstah and Chris Harmonics on the track “This Too Shall Pass.”
Flowrian’s releases include the 2013 single The Way It Is / Stroke Of Genius (Jazz VIP), made with Pulsaar and Rowpieces for Jazzsticks Recordings, and the 2014 single All Cities EP Vol 1, with Andrezz and Redeyes on Vandal Ltd. That year also brought Lunar EP, a single with Duoscience and Pulsaar on Influenza Media. Flowrian played at Let It Roll in 2013. The album Cinnamon Garden on Fokuz Recordings came before Serendipity, the album made with Simstah for Jazzsticks Recordings.
Jazz and film soundtracks remain among Flowrian’s listening interests, with Art Farmer and Benny Golson named as longtime favourites. The 2015 EP Maximus EP came out on Jazzsticks Recordings. Flowrian’s advice to new producers is to be patient and master their DAW.
