Fracture is the performance name of Charlie Fieber, who discovered jungle through London pirate radio as a young teenager. A DJ, producer and label owner based in London, he has worked in music for more than two decades. His sound spans drum and bass, jungle, footwork, juke, techno and ambient electronic music. Fieber has said the Autonomic releases and podcasts led him to explore influences beyond drum and bass, including U.S. beat music and Chicago footwork. He has also credited Om Unit with helping him discover new musical influences. Fieber was born in London.
In 2009, Fracture and Neptune co-founded Astrophonica, the label Fieber runs. He has released music through Metalheadz, Exit Records, 1985 and Astrophonica. Future Retro London is another label associated with his work. His collaborations include Footwork Jungle music with DJ Earl, DJ Spinn and DJ Taso. In 2016, he was part of the Richie Brains project with Alix Perez, Chimpo, Fixate, Om Unit, Sam Binga and Stray.
Fracture’s album 0860 explores pirate radio’s history and its role in UK underground music. In 2022, he and Sam Binga released the ambient electro album Omura. In 2026, Fracture played at Gorilla on 20 March, UNO MALTA on 3 September, Hidden on 24 September and Stereo on 10 October.
