Callum Lechatellier, who records as Natus, began in Aberdeen before moving to Glasgow and later settling in London. A classically trained instrumentalist and composer, Natus plays violin and piano and produces drum and bass. Natus has made electronic music since a young age, bringing acoustic instruments and classical instrumentation into the genre, with violin prominent in the work. The 2018 single Moonlight appeared on Pantheon Select. Natus has also released music on Med School, Liquicity and Keeno Music.
Natus wrote, arranged, recorded and produced the track “Melancholia”, a collaboration with Keeno that appeared on the album Piano Drum & Bass: Volume 1, made with Keeno and Dustkey. In 2025, Natus released the single “Do You Do The Do The Do” on Goldfat Records, followed by “Ascension (Piano Arrangement)” with Alpha Rhythm on Fokuz Recordings and “Eyes Wide Open” on Fragrance. In 2026, Natus joined Alpha Rhythm, Metalix (UK), Skulder and Mully for the single “Roots Vol 3 (Part 3)” on Four Corners.
