In 2012, PsoGnar entered the dubstep scene as a producer and vocalist, working under the name of Dustin Burk. From Fort Lauderdale, Florida, PsoGnar also works as a DJ and makes music that brings dubstep and rock together. The lyrics are story-driven, and PsoGnar has described the tracks as scenes in a larger fantasy story. A first EP brought a set at EDC Orlando and EDC Las Vegas after PsoGnar won Insomniac’s Discovery Project. Those performances brought wider recognition, while the early releases included the 2013 single Full Potential on Heavy Artillery Recordings.
The 2014 single Ancient Egypt came out on Pantheon Select. In 2018, PsoGnar released The Great Deception on Most Addictive, and featured on Monster, a track from the release Uprising. PsoGnar’s collaborative work includes Teminite, with whom PsoGnar made the single Rally the Troops. Chime and Teminite also feature on Monster. Other collaborators include Dion Timmer, Spag Heddy and Extra Terra. In 2019, The Great Deception (Remixes) appeared as a single on Most Addictive, followed in 2020 by the Teminite single On My Way (2020 Edit).
In 2020, PsoGnar released the track Spirit Channeling through PsoGnar Records, the label’s own imprint. The 2022 album Fate of Gnarnia also came out through PsoGnar Records. The album followed a run of releases on labels including Never Say Die and Deadbeats, alongside earlier work on Firepower Records and Most Addictive. PsoGnar’s 2023 single Guardian was another release on the self-run label. The single Telekinetic followed in 2025, also on PsoGnar Records.
Other label credits include a 2018 single, Bedrock (Remixes), made with Extra Terra and released on Firepower Records. In a track discussed in a 2021 interview, PsoGnar began with a piano melody inspired by post-hardcore music and wrote it in 3/4 time. His releases have also appeared on the Teminite label.
