Teminite is the stage name of Sam Norris, a producer and multi-instrumentalist from North Devon, UK. Growing up, Norris played piano and saxophone, and jazz and classical music inform the melodies in his bass music. In 2014, he took first place in remix contests associated with Monstercat and Disciple Records, earning early recognition.
A collaboration with Panda Eyes, “Highscore” became one of Teminite’s best-known releases, reaching hundreds of millions of streams across platforms. He has also released music through Monstercat. His album Uprising drew on a difficult period in his life; Teminite described “State of Mind” as especially personal and performed several instrumental parts himself. The album included collaborations with PsoGnar, Chime and Evilwave, while “Standing Tall” was made with Jonah Hitchens.
Teminite released the album Raise the Black Flag in 2021 through Teminite Music. Later collaborations include “Moai Samurai” with Exyl and Creo, and “The Master” with Boom Kitty. In 2023, he released “Chemical Love” with Kelli-Leigh and Poylow on ERA Music.
