SP:MC

SP:MC, whose real name is Stewart Procter, began getting involved in pirate radio as a teenager. His first major break came in 2001, when MC GQ heard a mixtape he had made with Jubei and brought them in as residents at Emcee Sessions in Camden. He began performing that year, working as an MC across drum and bass and dubstep while developing as a DJ and producer. Later, SP:MC toured extensively with Friction and became dBridge’s MC of choice. He has also represented Shogun Audio, Emcee Recordings, Exit Records, Metalheadz, Hospital Records and Tempa, and has hosted events for Exit Records, 1985 Music and Metalheadz, among other labels. He is based in London and has worked with LX One.

On Tempa, SP:MC released the single Trust Nobody in 2008 and Taiko Dub / Bad Dreams in 2009. The single Hunted / Oh My Gosh also came out in 2011.

His releases have also appeared on System Music, including Pondlife / R1, and on Sentry Records, where Vintage / Slugfest came out. Code 3 was formed by SP:MC, Jubei and Will Courtice, and released Living Proof on Exit Records. SP:MC collaborated with Icicle on a track called Dreadnaught.
