Perez has also described a contrast between darker and lighter elements as a recurring feature of his music.
After meeting Eprom in 2014, Perez formed the collaborative project Shades with him; their work began with beats for Foreign Beggars. Shades released the album In Praise of Darkness in 2018, followed by From A Vein in 2022. Perez and Ivy Lab developed their Arkestra collaboration through studio sessions that grew into an EP. He has also worked with Jenna G, Redeyes, Sabre and Specific. With Headland, he made the album Hellion, released in 2023.
Perez released the album Entanglements in 2024. In 2025, he made the single So Here It Is with DLR for Sofa Sound and the single Gutters (Alix Perez Remix) with Confucius MC for Native Rebel Recordings.
