Station Earth formed around producers Matthias De Herdt, also known as Blue Marble, and Jelle De Maeyer. Based in Rumst, the drum-and-bass duo brought different roles to the project: De Herdt handled studio production, while De Maeyer performed as a DJ. Their music drew on rock, jazz, ambient and cinematic influences, and was associated with liquid funk as well as drum and bass.
In 2014, Station Earth released the single Age Of Reason / Myth Of Er through Nemesis Recordings Digital. Earlier releases had appeared on Liquicity and Radar Records; the track Starcaller came out on Radar Records and reached the Studio Brussel drum-and-bass chart. In 2015, the duo worked with vocalist Roos Denayer on the track Cold Green Eyes, released through Liquicity Records.
After the project’s run ended in 2015, further singles appeared under the Station Earth name. In 2021, the single Mad World came out on Marble Recordings with Blue Marble.
