Audio Network was founded in London in 2001 by Andrew Sunnucks and Robert Hurst as a production-music company. It creates and licenses original music for television, film, advertising, branded content and digital media, commissioning artists and composers internationally. Recording sessions have taken place at Abbey Road Studios, AIR Studios, Synchron Stage Vienna and School Farm Studios. Its electronic-music range includes drum and bass and jungle, and its music is used by broadcasters, brands and creators worldwide.
Catalogue entries date to 2002 and include albums by Ian Hughes and Christopher Slaski. In 2016, the company employed more than 600 composers and added as many as 20 albums to its output each month; by November, it contained over 120,000 tracks. In the three years before that November, its music was used on television more than eight million times worldwide. Composers’ work featured in BBC One’s The Night Manager, Sky 1’s Yonderland and Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie. Audio Network released Drumagick’s Concrete Samba in 2016 and Odisseia Tropical Reworks in 2024. The company was acquired by Entertainment One in 2019.
