Calypso Muzak is a drum and bass label set up as a sister imprint to Co-Lab Recordings. Heist, Simula, Conrad Subs and Macky Gee are among the artists whose work has appeared on the label. In 2006, it put out Heist’s single “Pigs In Blankets / Checkout”; Simula’s “Macho” followed in September 2018.
It belongs to the Co-Lab Recordings Music Group, which began in June 2002. The label’s founder started it after receiving many tracks from unsigned artists, and the first two tracks it released were by the founder. Its releases include EPs by Motiv and Coda, along with a compilation series called “Calypso Allstars,” represented by volumes three through six. In 2026, the label released Heist’s “Eyes of Madusa EP.”
