DARKMTTR Records is a Bristol drum and bass label founded by producer and DJ S.P.Y. He first thought about starting it in 2016, taking the name from his interest in science fiction and space, and launched it in 2021 as an outlet for his own productions, collaborations and invited artists. Its releases move between darker and more liquid drum and bass, with room for jungle, dubstep and other electronic styles.
S.P.Y's four-track DARKMTTR EP opened the label, and Bad Monday also came out as a single. Later releases include his tracks Night Train and Spire, IAMDOOMED's Vertigo EP and DKN's Eraser, and Phentix, Aagentah and Solace are among the other artists on the label. In 2022 DARKMTTR moved into club shows and festival stages.
