Alibi

Alibi is the solo project of Brazilian producer and DJ Fabio Honorio de Jesus, who grew up in São Paulo, where his father owned a record shop, and first appeared on V Recordings in 2011 as DJ Chap. Alibi began as a project with fellow São Paulo producer Level 2, also known as Pedro Lima, and now operates as Fabio’s solo outlet. He is based in Vienna, Austria.

Alibi’s releases have reached V Recordings and imprints including Liquid V, Chronic and Guidance, as well as Hospital Records, CIA, Innerground, Flexout and DARKMTTR. The 2018 album Said & Done features DRS, Serum, Riya, Cleveland Watkiss and MC Fats. Other collaborators across Alibi’s work include DJ Marky, Charli Brix and Urbandawn, while the Forged EP features En:vy, Wingz and L-Side. Collaborations under DJ Chap’s moniker have also involved Critycal Dub and Andrezz. Alibi collaborated with Command Strange on “Ahead Of Me.”

Alibi’s 2024 single “Headshot (Alibi Remix)” reworked a track by Break and appeared on Symmetry Recordings. In 2025, “This Is Goodbye” paired Alibi with flowanastasia and S.P.Y on Shogun Audio, followed by the single “With You” on Footnotes. An earlier release was the 2015 single “Silhouette/Restless” on Proximity Recordings.

In 2026, Alibi released “Big Sound” with Crystal Clear on V Recordings, followed by “Acqua (Alibi Remix)” with Bredren on Overview Music. Fabio played Plein Publiek on 14 August and Grelle Forelle on 18 July, and appeared at Electric Ballroom on 25 July and Geestmerambacht on 24 July.
