Eastside Records was established in 1996 by drum-and-bass producer A Sides, whose name is Jason Cambridge, as a United Kingdom label. Its first release was A-Sides’ “Punks,” issued as EAST 001 in 1996. The label put out more than 85 titles, including the first and second Eastside Jamz compilations, and released three solo albums by A Sides. MC Fats and DJ Marky have also appeared on its releases.
In 2001, Eastside Records issued A Sides’ Bustin' up Styles EP and “Feeling Me / Time Out”; “Cheeba” followed in 2009. The label released A Sides’ album Life & Soul in 2022. A Sides calls Eastside his home-grown label.
