Higher Ground was a British club-music label launched around August 1996 by Sony Music Entertainment UK as a division of Columbia Records UK. It was managed by Mick Clark, formerly an A&R at Virgin and 10 Records, and later by Mark Conway. The label is now defunct, its business having moved to Columbia.
Its drum and bass releases included Grooverider’s compilation The Prototype Years (1997), his single “Rainbows Of Colour” and album Mysteries Of Funk (both 1998), and DJ Rap’s album Learning Curve (1999).
