Jazzsticks Recordings is a Vienna label that Paul SG started in 2009 as a home for tracks Goodlooking Records had not signed, and he still runs it day to day. It specialises in sample-based liquid drum and bass that draws on the jazz, soul and funk of the 1960s and 1970s for a warm, raw sound.
The first 12-inches were "Vienna Melange / Lonely" in 2009 and "Rhodesomes / Sometimes" in 2010. After a pause the label went digital-only, and Flowrian, Pulsaar and Decon joined Paul SG in a label collective; the four later recorded as the Jazzassins, making the album The Chalet in the Swiss Alps in 2015. Furney, MC Conrad and Madcap have also released on Jazzsticks, and DJ Marky's "Pepper Bae / Cafe International" came out in 2020.
The label marked a decade with the compilation 10 Years Of Jazzsticks in November 2019, followed in 2023 by Cuts Extraordinaire (Best of Jazzsticks). It also runs regular label nights.
