MURKT is a drum and bass label that producer Villem launched in 2019. He created the imprint for darker, rawer music that was not suited to his main label, Spearhead. Its debut was Villem’s single All Day E’ry Day / Shake Weight, issued on June 28, 2019. The track drew on Bristol bassline from the late 1990s and jump-up jungle from the mid-1990s. Other artists who have released music on MURKT include Ruth Royall and Zero T.
In 2021, MURKT put out Diamonds, credited to Chris Munky, Ruth Royall and Severity. The label also released the compilations UNISON | 1 and UNISON | 2 that year, featuring Villem and Zero T.
