NËU is a drum and bass label launched in 2018 by Phace and Misanthrop as the successor to Neodigital, their earlier digital-only imprint, which had released Mefjus’s first record. Its releases explore a dark, gritty and experimental sound rooted in neurofunk and techstep.
The label signs emerging artists alongside established names and gives them room to develop new sounds. Its early output included music by Mefjus and Emperor, and other artists with NËU releases include Synergy, OBSES and Tom Finster.
For its fifth anniversary, NËU issued a two-part remix project with 18 reworkings of earlier releases, featuring artists such as The Caracal Project, Buunshin and Subtension.
