Malux

Malux is the drum-and-bass alias of London-based producer Alexander Chambers, who also releases music as Skope. His work focuses on neurofunk and heavy drum and bass, and his first recorded event took place in 2009. Early releases appeared on Bad Taste Recordings, RAM, Trendkill and Inspected, including the 2016 single Turbine / Fonk on Bad Taste Recordings. Noisia, Friction and Crissy Criss gave radio play to both tracks. He has also released music on Eatbrain, Blackout, Vision, ProgRAM, Get Hype, Evolution Chamber and War On Silence.

Malux has described using sound-design experiments to find ideas and exploring other genres to keep his creative approach fresh. He called Hideout one of his favourite tracks because of its neuro sound. In a 2024 interview, he explained that he usually begins a track with a drum beat, then revises the drums as the synths and overall feel develop.

Evolution Chamber released Nosedive in January 2024 and Clockwork later that year. Earlier tracks for the label include Mammoth and Jericho. His work also includes a remix of Noisia’s Could This Be and Ghost Train, made with Hijak MC. With Erb n Dub and Crissy Criss, he remixed TC’s Next Hype. The single Memories came out on C4C Recordings in 2022. Malux also released Pitfall VIP on Bad Taste Recordings.

In 2023, Malux released Arcane (Malux Remix) on NËU with MVRK and Temam, and The Ride (Remixes) on War On Silence with Carasel. In 2025, he performed alongside Magnetude at an event in Eindhoven. In 2026, he released All You've Got with Sign on VALE (Various Artists Limitless Expression LLC), as well as Drowning In Fire (Malux Remix) on Evolution Chamber.
