Original Key Records was established by DJ OKey in 2016 as an independent dance label based in Landau, Germany. Its focus is drum and bass, with jungle also part of its musical range. The label holds recurring events and showcases for its artists. Its 2016 single The Magnificent/ Seems Risky was credited to Heist, Nicky Blackmarket and Voltage, and it issued the compilation Best Of Original Key on November 5, 2023. Bassface Sascha and Whiney were credited on the 2022 release One Time (Whiney Remix).
The label team launched Faces of Jungle as an imprint for jungle and drum and bass artists. Its first compilation, Faces of Jungle Vol. 1, appeared in March 2022. Other artists with releases on Original Key Records include MC Spyda, Conrad Subs, S.P.Y and Sl8r. Speaker Louis’s collaboration with vocalist Blackout JA, “The City Is Burning”, grew into an EP for the label.
