Shoot Recordings began in San Diego, California, in 2013, founded by Calculon, who leads the label. Its focus is drum and bass, including liquid drum and bass and neurofunk, with artists from across the world. Calculon set it up for music outside the sound of Rubik Records, early on drawing on juke, jungle and hardcore. In August 2014 he said it had started the year before and issued four records. The first, SHOOT001, appeared on September 30, 2013, pairing tracks by Chrissy Murderbot and Pawn under the title The Original / Your Words.
Calculon, Digital, Dave Owen and ReDraft are among the artists with releases on Shoot. In 2018, Calculon, Dave Owen and ReDraft released the single SHOOT009. Calculon and Digital followed with I Came To Roll + Digital Remix in 2025.
