South Yard is a Spain-based drum and bass label established in 2015 by friends who DJed and produced music. It issues music digitally and began with jungle and dubwise, later widening its focus across drum and bass styles. Its sound draws on reggae and electronic music, including ragga jungle.
Conrad Subs’ “Robust Funk” arrived in 2020, followed by Dan Guidance’s “Wheel It Up / Sweet Sensimilia” in 2022. Earlier, the fifth release was “Who Start Di Revolution”, a Karlixx-produced reggae track featuring Sun I Tafari, paired with a jungle and drum-and-bass remix from Mooncat and Dubtime; it came out in 2018. The label also released South Yard & Friends Vol. 3, a Spanish drum-and-bass compilation, in March 2022.
Compilation releases include South Yard & Friends Vol. 1 and Compilation Vol. 1 - Best Raggajungle Tracks, issued in January 2024. South Yard also stages live events and showcases with drum and bass artists.
