Straight Up Breakbeat was founded by Dizzy in Helsinki in 1996 as the city’s first club night for jungle and drum and bass. Its events continued into the 2000s, and the venture developed into a record label, launched in 2000 and relaunched in 2019. Early releases included music by Breakwater Crew and Muffler, followed by work from artists including Fanu and Aeon Four. The label releases drum and bass, spanning modern jungle and contemporary drum and bass sounds. Its SUBB1996 series returns to jungle from the mid-1990s, while Flatliners Vinyl explores rave music; Mystery City, a sister label, focuses on deep rolling drum and bass and other bass-driven music.
Among the label’s releases are Loxy’s 2019 single New Age and Dunn's River Falls, a 2025 collaboration by Loxy and Resound. Dizzy has also presented radio shows on RadioMafia, YleX, Basso and Rude FM. Released on December 5, 2025, the compilation States Of Art “25” marked 25 years since the label’s founding and brought together 25 tracks by international jungle and drum-and-bass artists.
