Subplate Recordings

Subplate Recordings is an independent label founded in Germany in 2004 by Typecell, who started it as a digital-only netlabel. Its main focus is deep, dark and minimal drum and bass and neurofunk, with techstep, dubstep, downbeat, ambient and drone releases alongside.

Typecell’s album Voice of Submission came out on the label in its first year, and his single Perception followed in 2016. Jaise, Screamarts, Sam Space, Antakto, Dual Process and Red Wreath have also released music on Subplate.
