Think Deep Recordings began in Bristol in 2009, founded by producer Andy Sim and Bevan Ward after the two worked promoting Breakout. Its focus was deep, soulful liquid drum and bass, with releases issued digitally and on vinyl. The debut paired Paul SG and Andy Sim’s “Indigo” with Adam Form’s “Halls Shine”. Andy Sim managed the label, and his debut full-length album came out on it in 2015.
The label’s releases included the 2010 compilation In Too Deep, Volume 1 and the In Too Deep EP in 2012. Its 2011 compilation Selective Soul contained ten tracks by sixteen artists and followed the launch album Collective Unconscious. The label put out the single “Rebuild” in 2013 and the album Liquidambar in 2015. Other releases included Vibes Ahoy, while artists with music on Think Deep Recordings included Duoscience and LaMeduza.
