Knowledge Magazine

Knowledge Magazine (Kmag) is a UK drum & bass magazine founded in Bristol in 1994 by music journalist Colin Steven and Rachel Patey. Steven had moved to Bristol from Glasgow and was co-promoting the jungle night Ruffneck Ting with Markee Ledge and DJ Dazee; the name came from Eric B. & Rakim's 'Juice (Know the Ledge)'.

The first issue appeared in December 1994 as a 12-page black-and-white A5 magazine. Knowledge ran in print until June 2009 and then as a website; in 2019 Steven marked its 25th anniversary with a 160-page hardback book. Kmag.co.uk publishes news, premieres, interviews, reviews and features such as Desert Island Dubs and Sweat the Technique. Steven also runs the publisher Velocity Press.
