On 4 November, Hospital Records released Stars, the sixth album by New Zealand group Shapeshifter. Combining the most progressive bass music with their trademark hypnotic atmosphere, rolling beats and infectious vocals, Shapeshifter have taken their sound to a “stadium”-scale level. The group spent six months gathering material for the album, after which Shapeshifter settled into a studio in Auckland together with the duo The Upbeats. The result is an album for which they selected the 11 strongest tracks from more than 100 written. This is the group’s first album since Delta, which went platinum.
The album can be purchased digitally on the label’s website: https://www.hospitalrecords.com/shop/release/shapeshifter-nz/nhs301-stars
