heleenyum and Atlanta producer Sxnctuary fuse R&B vocals with jungle and drum & bass on “Slowly.” Sxnctuary’s synths and pads set the harmonic bed, while heleenyum brings in a distinctive jungle rhythm for the verses; the track ultimately runs at 177 BPM, a lively counterpoint to its “take it slowly” refrain.
A slower beat arrives near the end, sharpening the contrast between the song’s measured message and its fast-moving pulse. The single also includes an instrumental version.
