On “Close2Mine,” Newcastle producer Nectax turns to the frenetic pulse of juke, filtering it through a twisted, retro-futurist sensibility. Melodies, textures and atmosphere drawn from ’80s freestyle give the track a distinctive glow amid its restless club energy.
The release marks Nectax’s Moveltraxx debut, extending his jungle-rooted work into the label’s footwork-minded world.
